Many thanks to my extremely capable editor Lynn for helping me with the final revisions to The Neocon Conspiracy. Also a hug and thanks to my dear husband who did the final proofreading. The book is now available on Smashwords, although I'm still waiting for approval for inclusion in their Premium Catalogue.

The Kindle version is also waiting approval, but sadly, after the fact I identified some serious formatting errors, so I will have to republish. I've decided to wait to submit the print version until I'm sure all the bugs are out both Smashwords and Kindle editions.

Received some valuable feedback from Lynn and will incorporate in into A Monster's Game before I send her the final manuscript.  Seem's like I'm spending an awfully large percentage of my time in the den working on the computer.

Best wishes to all.

Finally, the revised edition of The Founding Five is in the hands of my capable Editor and the cover is ready to go. Now I've got my work cut out for me since A Monster's Game has to be ready for editing by the first week in April. Although I'm going to be one busy Author for the next few months, I thinks its a lot better to be working under a deadline.

That said, I'm still finding time for new 5W (Women Welcome Women Worldwide) friends. Had two couples from up north and a lovely English lady from Sarasota to lunch. Also will be driving up to Tampa to the Dali Museum where a dozen 5W's will meet for lunch. So looking forward to seeing the newly renovated museum and meeting with old and a few new 5W friends.

I know I should do a better job keeping this blog up to date, but I get caught up in so many other things and time passes so quickly.

The good news is Confessions of a Liberal Lover just received another great review. This one is from Pamela Denis at Romance Junkies. She I've posted an excerpt of the review on the welcome page. Image how pleased I was to read that she thought it was the best chick lit she'd read in a long time.

I'm still trugging away at the re-write of The Founding Five. Finally passed the half way mark so I'm heading downhill. Still need to find an editor and cover artist, but hope to have the book back on the market in a a month or so.

Haven't done much with A Monsters Game, but it's on the top of my list as soon as The Neocon Conspiracy has been published. Suspect , as usual, I'll make tons of changes once I return to it. Someone once said a book is always a work in progress he/she was certainly right.

Hope life is treating you all well. Post a comment or drop me a line on my guest book page. Would love to hear from you.

Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. Although we couldn't spend the holiday with family, we did have a special Christmas eve dinner with good friends. Right after Christmas Ron, I, Moe and Bo took off in the motorhome for Key West. How incredible it was to spend New Years Eve on a schooner watching the last sunset of 2010 and celebrate the first sunset of 2011 from Mallory Square. We also spent time touring the home of Ernest Hemmingway, the Truman Little White House, walking the length of  Duval Street and enjoying the great Key West restaurants.

Now we're in Naples for a week. I'll post some pictures of our trip once we get get home. The ones of the sunsets are truly beautiful.  Then it's back to work for I certainly have been a slacker.

Wishing all a very healthy and happy New Year!

Hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving last week had a great day. I've been working hard on the rewrite of The Founding Five (now titled The Neocon Conspiracy). It will probably take me at least another month before I'm ready to turn it over to an editor.

Did get a pleasant surprise today. Confessions of a Liberal Lover is ranked as the #1 Best Seller for Red Rose Publishing at Fictionwise.com and #10 for Mainstream Fiction e-books. How nice it would be if all the Kindle owners who visit this site would order a copy and move the book up in the Amazon rankings.

Just came back from a week a Lauderdale-by-the-sea.  We stayed right on the beach and each night fell asleep to the sound of the sea. I'll admit I did almost no writing while we were there, but instead spent time enjoying my new Kindle. Finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which I enjoyed very much along with a good old Agatha Christie novel and a John D. MacDonald mystery.

Realized I am spending too much time promoting Confessions of a Liberal Lover and not enough writing. In order to resolve this dilemma, I have hired Betty Ann Harris to do promotion for me for the next six months. She promotes for a number of Red Rose Publishing Authors and I have confidence she will do a much better job than I was doing. This will free me up to write without feeling guilty, although I still intend to post occasionally on Yahoo Group sites and the Kindle Boards.

Still waiting for the agent I met while I was attending a writer's conference in San Francisco to respond to my query letter for A Monstrous Game.  Sure would be nice if she decided to represent me, but if she doesn't I'll start querying both agents and publishers.

So much to do, so little time.

When I was asked to write an article for author Icy Snow Blackstone's Blog I was't sure what to say, but then I looked up at the statue of the gargoyle above my writing desk and decided to tell the story of how that pesky little guy found his way into Confessions of a Liberal Lover. The article is called Just a Touch of Fantasy. Please stop by the site and don't forget to post a comment. Here's the link: www.icysnowblackstone.com/

If you get the chance, please check out my interview with David Wisehart at the Kindle Author Blog Spot. Here's the link. I'll be blogging at the Icy Snow Blackstone Blog on October 22nd and  talking about how the character of the gargoyle ended up in Confessions of a Liberal Lover. I'll post a link when the article is published. I think you'll enjoy reading it.

Just came back from a week long vacation in Pompano Beach. So love the Ocean and waking up and seeing it everymorning was a real treat. Have to admit I didn't do any writing, although I spent lots of time reading. Finished a great John D. MacDonald mystery and am working my way through The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. My new Kindle is loaded up with great reads, but now that I'm back home I'm going back to work.

My first priority is finishing the revision to The Founding Five. My second is continuing promoting Confessions of a Liberal Lover. If you get a chance visit The Romance Studio's Spookapalooza site and leave a comment for one of my posts. My name is listed among the posting authors on the left side. Here's the link. theromancestudio.com/party/.

Decided to bring over the Limericks from the Left page from my  Maud Muller website. Also added a couple of new ones. These limericks do sometimes have a liberal bias, but most of them reflect the issues all of us, whether conservatives, liberals or somewhere in between are concerned about.

Hope you enjoy this page. Feel free to leave a comment about them if you like.

Spent much of today working on promotion of Confessions of a Liberal Lover. Did a couple of Yahoo Group posts, evaluated the performance of my Google Ad Word Campaigns and tried to straighten out some problems with the tags on the book's Amazon Kindle page. I know promotion is important, but I would so rather be writing.

Did manage to write a new opening chapter for The Founding Five. It's more action oriented and will do a better job of drawing readers into the story. In the new version, readers will learn about the conspiracy right along with Josh Freeman rather than at the beginning of the book.

I've got so many writing projects going right now, I'm never sure which one to work on. Still I love writing so I'm not complaining. It would be a lot worse if I couldn't think of anything to write about.

So here's today's news. I have officially notified iUniverse to remove The Founding Five from their print and e-book catalogue. I've got some great ideas for the rewrite, including a new title. Thanks to all of those who have given me suggestions. My goal is to distribute the new version through Smashwords by the end of the year. I'll be using the pen name Maud Muller again since E.M. Muller is reserved for romance, chick-lit and the like.

I'll admit I've been too lazy to start a blog, although I used to have one on the Maud Muller site. But the time has come and I'm committed to seeing this through. My goal is to post as least a couple of times a week to let visitors know what I'm up to as an author. I'll leave most of the personal stuff for Facebook, although I'm sure some will creep in occasionally. Please feel free to post comments and don't forget to sign my guest book before you leave.
